1a. My name is Jenna. I graduated from Canisius College in 2006 with a BA in History, UB in 2008 with a Masters in Library Science and this is my final course in completing my MSEd in Adol. Ed. I was born and raised right here in Buffalo, NY but love traveling more than anything, and lived for a while on the Sunshine Coast of Australia. I currently manage a restaurant called Dug's Dive and expect everyone to come visit me this summer! I live right by the Buffalo Zoo and Deleware park with the love of my life, a four year old Boxer named Bundy.

1b. Over the next month I hope to learn to utilize the tools available to become a more effective and interesting social studies teach. Just because I teach about the past doesn't mean I need to live in it.

1c. I believe the meaning of the term literacy is constantly evolving. While 50 years ago it may simply have included the ability to be able to read, write, listen and comprehend, in 2010 it also includes other media as technology expands. Many of my students are far more literate in technology than I am and unless we choose to educate ourselves the gap will only increase as technology evolves.
